Capital City Festival Ballet
Previously known as Company Etudes Youth Ensemble Ballet
Mastering technique and developing artistry are essential, but performing whether virtually, on stage or in a site-specific work, are the dreams of nearly every student who studies dance. At Ballet Arts Conservatory, students have the opportunity to audition for and participate in Capital City Festival Ballet, our resident pre-professional youth company. With a focus on classical and contemporary ballet, students perform in two full-length productions annually, where they are able to apply their practical skills, training and artistry from class onto the stage. Additionally, dancers in the company perform alongside guest artists from local arts organizations and outside companies, which allows the students to gain a deeper understanding of the ample opportunities within the arts. Students are also encouraged and invited to participate in regional ballet festivals, intensives and master classes provided by world renowned instructors, where upper division dancers are given the chance to perform repertoire choreographed by local dance artists. Through the company, they gain self-motivation, self-discipline, poise, grace, physical adroitness and an appreciation for the arts, which they will carry with them throughout their lives. The mission of CCFB is to develop future artists today.
